Vendors & AV vendors form group to improve behavior anomaly testing
Tuesday, December 4th, 2007Checking for behavioral anomalies on a server or endpoint device is often more effective–and always an important added control layer–than signature checking to combat malware infections. However, techniques and standards to establish the effectiveness of behavior-based solutions are fuzzy at best. This may change with the formation of a new working group.
